CARLA BOYLAN

Carla joined the firm as an assistant in October 2014 and was assumed as Partner in April 2026.

Carla’s main area of practice and interest is in family law, she has extensive experience in dealing with all areas of family law, including divorce, contact and residence disputes, children’s hearings, adoption and permanence orders. Carla is committed to achieving good outcomes for her clients and their families; she regularly conducts child welfare hearings, proofs and social work referrals at sheriff courts throughout Scotland.

Well known in Glasgow sheriff court, Carla appears there most days on behalf of her own clients and as local agent for many solicitor firms. Carla has general experience in all areas of civil litigation and is developing a private client practice which allows her to offer a well rounded service to her clients.

Carla was appointed as a Child Welfare Reporter in 2023. Carls has served as a committee member on the Glasgow Bar Association. Carla is a Children’s Interview Rights Practitioner. Carla was also appointed as a legal member to the First-Tier Tribunal for Scotland in 2025.

NICOLA IRVINE

Nicola has been a partner since 2008 and is now the firm’s managing partner.

Nicola enjoys a well deserved reputation as a skilled civil litigator. She has expertise in dealing with commercial and contractual disputes; debt recovery; housing disputes; and sequestrations and liquidations. Nicola also has an interest in criminal defence and regulatory work. She is held in high esteem by her peers, who frequently rely on her advice and help, not just on an informal basis. Nicola acts for other professionals in regulatory proceedings and has successfully represented solicitors before the Scottish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal. She is a Director of the Legal Defence Union.

Nicola is frequently appointed by sheriffs as safeguarder in guardianship proceedings, in order to protect the interests of vulnerable adults.

Nicola is a past Dean of the Royal Faculty of Procurators and is trustee for a number of charities. She is also a legal member of the First Tier Tribunal for Scotland.

JAMES MULGREW

Along with Frank Moore, James joined the firm as a partner in October 2014; he is well known and generally regarded as one of the most skilled and dedicated criminal defence agents in practice. James is a Solicitor Advocate, with rights of audience in the High Court of Justiciary. He brings an enthusiasm to his cases that is much admired by instructing solicitors and clients alike, his legal knowledge and ability is well recognised and he is frequently instructed to defend clients in courts throughout Scotland and at all levels. James has conducted numerous trials in the high court and has experience of defending clients facing charges of murder and other crimes of violence, drug trafficking, and financial crime. He has also represented clients at fatal accident inquiries and other public inquiries.

James also has an interest in regulatory work, he has successfully represented clients before the Traffic Commissioner, Nursing and Midwifery Council and other disciplinary bodies; he is a legal assessor to the General Teaching Council in Scotland.

FRANK MOORE

Along with James Mulgrew, Frank joined the firm in October 2014, like James, Frank is a solicitor advocate and is a skilled criminal defence agent. With over 20 years experience in criminal law, Frank is well established as an excellent court practitioner who is dedicated to representing his clients at the highest level and achieving the best possible outcome for them. He is tenacious in his investigation of cases and will leave no stone unturned in identifying all lines of enquiry and exhausting them.

Frank practises in all areas criminal law and in particular has experience dealing with road traffic, sexual and drug offences, he has an excellent record in achieving acquittals and, where appropriate, negotiating fair outcomes with crown office.

Megan Jack

Megan joined the firm as an Assistant in July 2024, focusing primarily on family law. She brings extensive experience across all areas of the discipline, including divorce, contact and residence disputes, children’s hearings, and cohabitation claims. Dedicated to guiding clients through challenging times with respect, dignity, and kindness, Megan consistently strives to achieve the best possible outcomes. Beyond her family law practice, she possesses significant experience in criminal law—appearing at both summary and solemn levels across Scotland.

TAYLOR MUIR

Taylor Muir joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in 2018 after graduating from the University of Strathclyde. Demonstrating exceptional dedication and expertise, he quickly advanced to Associate before being assumed as Partner in 2024.

Taylor qualified as a Solicitor Advocate in 2025. He routinely represents clients in complex jury trials and now regularly appears in the High Court. Beyond criminal law, Taylor brings extensive experience to Fatal Accident Inquiries and regulatory bodies, including the Nursing and Midwifery Council. He is widely recognised for his strong reputation and unwavering commitment to client outcomes.

Callum Heraty

Callum joined the firm in 2021, having graduated from the University of Glasgow.

Callum has a keen interest in criminal defence work and appears at court on a daily basis. He has experience conducting trials, assisting clients in custody, providing police station advice and instructing Counsel in High Court cases. He also has experience in regulatory matters and frequently represents clients before the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

He has a background in private client matters; conducting executry work, preparing Wills, Power of Attorney deeds and Guardianship applications. He also has an interest in property law, with experience assisting clients with conveyancing transactions.

Chris Sheridan
Morgan Stirton

Morgan joined the firm in October 2023 as a Legal Secretary, having first impressed the team during a successful work experience placement that summer. Through her dedication, professionalism and strong work ethic, she went on to secure a traineeship and commenced her training contract in July 2025, following her completion of the Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Dundee.

Morgan presently assists within the Private Client department and is involved in a broad spectrum of matters. Her experience encompasses executry administration, the drafting of Wills and Powers of Attorney, and, most recently, the preparation with Guardianship applications. In addition, she has experience with raising Simple Procedure claims.

Morgan has a particular interest in criminal law and is committed to developing her expertise in this area throughout the course of her traineeship. She has obtained valuable practical experience in criminal matters, including instructing Counsel in High Court cases. Morgan looks forward to acquiring advocacy experience and appearing before the courts in both civil and criminal capacities.

Tracy Milligan

Bringing over two decades of residential conveyancing expertise, Tracy joined the firm as a Solicitor in 2026 as part of our acquisition of Fitzpatrick & Co, alongside Euan Wilson and Dawn Clark.

A Strathclyde University graduate who qualified in 2000, Tracy has spent her career advising clients across Glasgow and Paisley. She covers every element of property transactions with a pragmatic, client-centred approach. Tracy’s welcoming demeanor and track record of smooth transactions have made her a trusted advisor with a substantial client base.

Euan Wilson

Along with Dawn Clark and Tracy Milligan, Euan joined the firm as a Solicitor in August 2026 after the firm acquired Fitzpatrick & Co, Solicitors. Euan is based in our Wellington Street office.

Educated in Airdrie and at the University of Glasgow, Euan qualified as a Solicitor in 1999 and has practiced in Glasgow City Centre since January 2000.

He deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing work and over the years has developed a good reputation with clients, estate agents and other professionals alike.

In his spare time, Euan enjoys travelling, music, cooking, gardening and racket sports and takes an interest in personal finance and politics.

Dawn Clark

Along with Tracy Milligan and Euan Wilson, Dawn joined the firm in 2026 following our acquisition of Fitzpatrick & Co. Dawn is based in our Wellington Street office.

Dawn qualified as a solicitor in 2009 after studying law at the University of Strathclyde and the Diploma in Legal Practice in Aberdeen, which lead to her partnership with an Aberdeen firm before returning to Glasgow in 2022.

Dawn specialises in all aspects of residential property law and conveyancing with a core focus on providing a friendly and personal approach alongside clear communication and pragmatic advice to her clients. Dawn prides herself in always taking a practical and thorough approach while going the extra mile for her clients, which has earned her a track record of repeat clients and referrals. Dawn has a particular interest in complex conveyancing issues and title matters with a wealth of experience in both urban and rural properties, while always maintaining the highest standard of service and ensuring the best possible outcome for her client.
