| Margaret has been with the firm for 15 years, prior to which she ran her own practice. She has specialised in family work, particularly financial settlements, for some years. Consistently ranked highly by the various professional guides, she was recently described as the diva of family lawyers. Margaret was a founder member of the Family Law Association and served as Chair and Editor of the Family Law Bulletin. She was a member and latterly Deputy Chair of the Scottish Legal Aid Board and served on the Sheriff Court Rules Council and the Board of the Legal Defence Union. She was awarded O.B.E. for services to the Administration of Justice in 2005. She is currently a member of the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission. Like Des McCaffrey, Margaret is winding down towards retirement, but remains a valuable and active member of our family team. |
